3 nabbed with 368 bottles of phensidyl

RAB and police arrested three drug dealers with 368 bottles of phensidyl in two separate raids in Rangpur. Meanwhile, RAB seized a pickup van and police an auto riska.
According to RAB, two drug dealers were arrested on Thursday while transporting drugs on the highway from Rangpur to Bogra along with 248 bottles of phensidyl in the two doors of the pickup in a novel manner during the search at RAB’s check post in Medical Mor area of Rangpur city.
Those arrested are Minhajul (18) and Alamgir (18). Both their homes are in Kaligya upazila of Lalmonirhat district. Meanwhile, a pickup carrying drugs was seized. The arrested drug dealers had been smuggling drugs to the capital from different parts of the northern region for a long time. The drug dealers and the seized pickup have been handed over to Rangpur Metropolitan Kotwali Police Station and a case has been registered under Narcotics Act.
Meanwhile, Gangachra police station of Rangpur said, a team of four policemen of Gangachara police station led by SI Rezaye Rabbi Mondal along with accompanying officers and forces set up a check post on the paved road on the north side of Mahipur Teesta Bridge of Gangachara police station, and the deceased of Dighaltari village of Aditamari upazila of Lalmonirhat district was killed.
Abdul Quader’s son Rafiqul Islam (32) was arrested with 120 bottles of Phensidyl and a battery-operated auto-rickshaw. In this regard, a case has been filed under Narcotics Act at Gangachara police station.
