Bashundhara Kings earn fourth successive win

Holders Bashundhara Kings registered their fourth consecutive victories in the Bangladesh Premier League Football beating Lieutenant Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club by 3-0 goals held at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj on Friday.

In the day’s match, Brazilian forward Dorielton struck twice while his compatriot Robinho netted the other one goal for Kings.

After the barren first half, Dorielton finally broke the deadlock scoring the first goal in the 79th minute and he scored the second goal for his team in the 90+2nd minute of the match.

Forward Robinho sealed the victory scoring the third goal for Kings in the 90+6th minute of the match.

The day’s win saw Kings raise their tally to twelve points from four matches while Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club remained at their previous collection of three points playing the same number of matches.

Meanwhile, Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society split point with Fortis Football Club when their match ended in a 2-2 goals draw in the Bangladesh Premier League Football held at Muktijoddha Smrity Stadium in Rajshahi on the same day.

In the proceeding, Gambian midfielder Dawda Ceesay and Ghanaian forward Ernest Boateng scored one goal each for Rahmatganj while Uzbek defender Jasur Jumayev and Gambian forward Pa Omar Babou netted one goal apiece for Fortis FC.

The match was locked 1-1 draw at the breather.

Jasur Jumayev opened an account scoring the first goal for Fortis in the 23rd minute while Dawda restored the parity for Rahmatganj in the 31st minute of the match.

After the resumption, Rahmatganj took the lead as Ernest scored the second goal in the 73rd minute from a penalty kick, while Omar neutralized the margin scoring the second goal for Fortis in the 82nd minute also from a spot kick.

With the day’s outcome, the traditional old Dhaka outfit Rahmatganj Muslim and Friends Society secured four points from four matches while Fortis Football Club also collected four points playing the same number of outings.
