180 sacks of fertilizer seized in kishoreganj

A truck with 180 sacks of urea fertilizer was seized and handed over to the police station in Kishoreganj.
The truck was seized from Karimganj bus stand area of kishoreganj on Tuesday evening.
The locals and Police sources, a class of unscrupulous traders collect these fertilizers from dealers to sell them at high prices in the open market.
Later, when the locals got suspicious while taking them away, they seized them and informed the police.
When contact to the Officer-in-charge ( OC) in Karimganj police station, Mizanur Rahman told the New Nation that, the fertilizers are currently under the custody of the Upazila Agriculture Officer.
Deputy Director of Agricultural Extension Department of Kishoreganj, Md. Abdus Sattar said, I have heard about the seizure of urea fertilizer. An investigation committee will be formed and necessary measures will be taken in this incident.
