NRBC Bank wins Global Economics Award again

NRBC Bank has been awarded by The Global Economics for creating new entrepreneurs and rapid expansion of banking activities. The UK-based magazine The Global Economics awarded two awards to NRBC bank titled ‘Best Bank for Emerging Entrepreneurs-2023’ and ‘Fastest Growing Private Ban2023,’ at an event in Dubai, United Arab Emirates on Wednesday. Chairman of the bank Parvez Tamal, Vice Chairman Rafikul Islam Mia Arzoo, and Director Mohammed Nazim received these awards. Earlier in 2022, NRBC Bank received the Global Economics Award in two categories.
The award ceremony highlighted that NRBC Bank is actively working on creating new entrepreneurs and supporting their development. The bank is providing assistance through various initiatives, including loans and other support, and has signed an agreement with the Department of Youth Development of Bangladesh. Moreover, NRBC Bank has distributed microcredit loans in rural areas through numerous branches and sub-branches, benefiting approximately 80,000 individuals. About 30% of the loan beneficiaries are women entrepreneurs. The bank has also extended its services to local farmers, educated youth, and marginalized groups, including transgender society, said a press release.
