Sylhet Strikers take part in practice session

The Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) Cricket will start on January 19.

Marking the upcoming gala extravaganza, Sylhet Strikers took part in their practice session at Pubergaon in Rupganj of Narayanganj district on Tuesday.

A rumour has been rolling that Mashrafe Bin Mortaza can play for Sylhet Strikers and also lead Sylhet Strikers as the Captain. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza could not take part in the yesterday’s practice session.

Earlier, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, who is a Member of Bangladesh Parliament said he will undergo surgery in his foot after the National Election of Bangladesh Parliament.

Sylhet Strikers are optimistic that Mashrafe Bin Moratza will return to the field and will lead Sylhet Strikers as the Captain of the squad.

Marking the upcoming BPL Cricket, members of Sylhet Strikers took part in their practice session at Pubergaon in Rupganj upazila of Narayanganj district on Tuesday.

All the local cricketers participated in the training session but the foreign recruits of Sylhet Strikers have not yet join the practice session.

Head Coach of Sylhet Strikers Rajin Saleh said, ” We are optimistic that Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will lead our squad as the Captain.

We have not finalised the vice-captain of Sylhet Strikers. We shall finalise everything tomorrow.”

Rajin Saleh said, ” Before BPL Cricket, Mashrafe Bin Mortaza is scheduled to undergo his surgery in his foot. But I don’t know the update of his surgery. He played with his injury for last year. He is mentally very strong. We think he will play with his surgery. We are hopeful about him.”

Rajin said, ” Most of our foreign recruits will join the squad tomorrow. “

He said, ” Our batting, fielding and bowling departments are up to the mark.”
