Sabina reaches Goa

Sabina Khatun of Bangladesh Women’s Football team reached Goa of India to take part in the Indian Women’s Football League, which is now being held in Goa of India.

The football meet was started on December 8. Sabina Khatun will play for Kickstart Football Club (FC).

Sabina Khatun signed an agreement with Kickstart FC to play in the Indian Women’s Football league. The duration of the agreement is three-month long.

If everything goes well, Sabina Khatun will play for Kickstart FC against Sethu Football Club in her first match on January 17. There are two Nepalese footballers with Sabina Khatun in her team Kickstart FC.

Sabina Khatun got her visa on Sunday last and left Dhaka for Goa on Monday noon and reached there.

Sabina is the first Bangladesh female footballer, who have started to play abroad. She played in the Maldives League for several times. She first played in India in 2018. After five years, She will play in India again.

Sabina Khatun played for Sethu FC in the Indian Women’s Football League in 2018. In that time, She scored six goals playing seven matches. It may be mentioned that her compatriot Krishna Rani Sarkar also played with her in that year. But this year Sabina Khatun is the only female booter of Bangladesh who will play in the Indian Women’s Football League.

Before leaving Dhaka for Goa, she was engaged in the training camp of Bangladesh Women’s Football team.

The Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) has issued No Objection Certificate (NOC) for Sabina Khatun.

Thus, Sabina could go to Goa and will take part in a prestigious football meet for the women in India.
