JaPa activists miffed by chair, secy gen

A group of Jatiya Party (JaPa) leaders have denounced Chairman GM Quader and Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu terming them as imposter and swindler over the 12th national polls failure.

The leaders also criticized joint Secretary Rezaul Karim. In a view exchange meeting of JaPa’s leaders of 12th parliamentary polls participators express anger over the issue. The meeting was held in capital’s Diploma Engineers Institution auditorium on Sunday.

The angry leaders of the party claimed that the government had given a lot of money to the Jatiya Party on the occasion of the election.

He was also willing to give concession on more seats. But due to their own failure, Jatiya Party could not realize it. They believe that party general secretary Chunnu is more responsible for this.

Jatiya Party candidate Fazle Elahi Sohag, elected from Noakhali-3 Constituency, claimed that Party Secretary General Mujibul Haque Chunnu is a fraud and a fraud in the discussion meeting.

He said, I called the Secretary General hundreds of time during the election, but he did not pick up. He is a cheater and a cheater. He was busy with his own election instead of giving financial benefits from the government to our candidates.

Jatiya Party presidium member Shafiqul Islam Sentu said, I did not call Syed Abu Hossain Babla or Liakat Hossain Khoka Bhai in today’s meeting. 20-22 candidates came to me and expressed their anger about not getting the party’s support in the elections. This meeting has been called on their request.
