Minor girl found dead in Kishoreganj, father held

A father has been accused of killing a 9-year-old gurl named Barshi Akter in Kishoreganj. The Police recovered body of Barshi Akhter, daughter of Arju Miah, from Khilpara paddy field in Maria Union of Sadar Upazila of Kishoreganj on Thursday midnight. Local and police sources, Arju Mia and Fatema Akhtar got married in 2010. They have one son and two daughters. They were living separately one and a half years ago due to marital discord.
After separate, Fatema Akhter has been working a housekeeper at a house in nagua area in the town. Arju went to Fatema Akhter’s house on Thursday afternoon. Later he left the house with Rain and Jannatul asking them to buy winter clothes. At night, Arju’s relatives tell Fatima that they are killing her daughter. Later, the police went to Khilpara paddy in Mariya Union and recovered the body of Barshi Akhter.
