50 nabbed on charges of sabotage centering polls

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested more than 50 people, including an upazila chairman and a public representative, in the last 72 hours of violence and vandalism across the country centering the national election campaign.
Commander Khandaker Al Moin, director of RAB’s law and media wing, disseminated the information at a press conference at Karwan Bazar here on Thursday, reports BSS.
He said that there were several incidents occurred in deferent places across the country recently, adding, “We have seen some incidents happened with involvement of some identified terrorists by overzealous supporters of candidates during election campaigns.”
The RAB director also said more than 50 people including an upazila chairman and public representative of Bogura were arrested in the last 72 hours.
