ACC to scrutinise candidates affidavit

The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Chairman Mohammad Moinuddin Abdullah said Jatiya Sangsad (JS) election is going to be held at January 7. Before that there is no enough time to scrutinize their wealth information which they have mentioned in their electoral affidavit. After polls we will concentrate to them.

He made the comment during an award giving ceremony in ACC headquarter in the capital Segunbagicha area on Monday.

He has hinted over affidavit scrutinizing after a newsmen query on unusual wealth hike of election candidates.

He has lauded the journalists’ contribution to elevate the corruption saying that ACC and journalist complement each other. We are expecting the journalists’ will produce exemplary report against corruption.

He requested journalists’ to report such a way which will help to lessen corruption in the society further saying that don’t make any report with bias that will destroy yours neutrality and acceptability.

In the occasion ACC commissioner Asia Khatun, MdJahurulHaque, ACC secretary MdMahbubHossain and other officials were present.
