Youth shot dead in Sylhet border

Sylhet Bureau :

A Bangladeshi youth shot dead by members of the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) along Bichanakandi border of Gowainghat upazila in Sylhet district on Friday night.

The incident took place at around 9.30pm within 400 yards of 1263 main pillar along the border area in the upazila.
The deceased was identified as Kawser Ahmed, 26, son of Ruson Mia, a resident of South Bogaiya village under Rustampur union in the upazila.

Bichanakandi border outpost commander subeder Altaf Hossain confirmed the matter, adding that Kawser was involved in smuggling of sugar from India.
