Chandpur Press Club gets new executive body

Chandpur Press Club, a renowned house of media activists in the country has got new committee for the current year- 2024. The club is established in July, 1975.

Senior journalist Shahadat Hossain Shanto, has elected as President while Mahbubur Rahman Suman, Editor of the local vernacular daily Elsheypar has been elected as secretary.

In addition, a total of 37 Executive members and Conveners of various Sub -Committees were elected through voice votes in the Annual General Meeting held on the 30th December amid much enthusiasm with the outgoing President AHM Ahsanullah in the chair at the Press Club Auditorium.

In this meeting, an amount of approximately Tk 97 lakhs were approved as expenditures for having done various essential works , repairing and renovation works and implementing some other projects.

Meanwhile, the new committee has taken over charge from the outgoing committee with effect from today, 1st January, 2024.
