Tigers-Kiwis 2nd T20I today

After posting the maiden and historic five-wicket win over the Black Caps in the first Twenty20 International (T20I) at Napier on Wednesday last, the motivated Tigers will take on the Kiwis in the second T20I at the Bay Oval in Mount Maunganui of New Zealand today. The clash will start at 12.10pm (Bangladesh Standard Time).

Private satellite channel Nagorik TV and private satellite channel Green TV will telecast the match live.

If Bangladesh win today’s match, Bangladesh will win the T20I series remaining with one T20I match and it will be a historic series win for the Tigers.

On the other hand, if the Kiwis win today’s match, they will level the series 1-1.

Then, the winner of the series will be decided in the third and final T20I, which will be held at the same venue on December 31.

Before today’s match, the Tigers and the Kiwis faced each other in 18 T20I matches, Of them, Bangladesh won four matches, while New Zealand recorded 14 victories.

It may be mentioned that the Tigers are in a superb rhythm this year as they won three T20I series against their opponents this year.

Besides, Bangladesh had a historic Test victory in this venue before more than one year. The win may inspire the Tigers.

After the successful mission in Napier, Bangladesh squad reached the Mount Maunganui on Thursday.

Assistant Coach of Bangladesh Cricket team Nic Pothas said, ” We have completed a long travel.

The cricketers have to engage these kind of travel. Sometimes, leisure is important than practice.”

Pothas said, ” We have a golden opportunity to win the series against the one of the best team of the world.

My boys should take part in the match tomorrow with the positive approach.

We are thinking about our present condition. We want to gain the best result. They are best side. We are enjoying the challenge.”

He said, ” We won the last match by five wickets.

It is a big margin win in T20I cricket. If these boys can play two or three years in future, They will show what they can do.

I think my boys need skill to win the match.”
