Construction work of Poet Sayed Haque’s grave begins

The construction work of the grave of Poet Sayed Samsul Haque was inaugurated by Kurigram Deputy Commissioner (DC) Mohammad Saidul Arif on Wednesday. SP Al Asad Mohammad Mahfujul Islam, principal of Kurigram Govt. College Mirza Mohammad Nasir Uddin, various cultural organizations including convener of combined cultural pact and eminent journalist Shamol Bhoumik were present among others.
The work of the grave complex will also start soon and district administration is working in this regard, DC Saidul Arif said.
Poet Sayed Samsul Haque was born in his father’s house at Thanapara in Kurigram district town on December 27, 1935 and died in Dhaka United Hospital on September 27, 2016. He was buried in the western side of the college ground adjacent of the main gate as his wish.
