Major Akhtaruzzaman to recruitment election assistants

Independent candidate of Kishoreganj-2 (Katiadi-Pakundia) Constituency Major (Retd) Akhtaruzzaman Ranjan has issued a recruitment notice to appoint election assistants. When the issue of this recruitment circular came into view on Tuesday, it gave rise to widespread discussion and criticism in the area.
According to the notification, a few men and women will be appointed for short term in each ward on an emergency basis to assist in the elections. Appointed election assistants will be paid due honorarium. The educational qualification sought in the notification is HSC. Aspirants are asked to appear directly at Pakundia Sadar Eidga Ground on December 20 (Tuesday) with a photocopy of National Identity Card. Assistants have to join work on 25th December. They have to work from 10 am to 8 pm till January 7.
Major (Retd) Akhtaruzzaman said where is the problem? Everyone works in secret and jobs are not given based on merit. A lot of helpers are needed to make a choice. A large number of skilled people are required for various tasks ranging from office work to publicity, campaigning, coordination of work, communication, distribution of voter lists, selection and appointment.
