Workshop on blended learning in BOU

A three day’s Workshop on “Faculty Development on OER (Open educational resources) based Blended Learning at Bangladesh Open University” from 17 -19 December 2023 at the BOU e-Learning Centre Gazipur campus organised by Open school BOU. BOU’s teachers under the financial and technology support from the Commonwealth Educational Media Centre for Asia (CEMCA).
Honorable Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh Open University Prof. Dr. Syed Humayun Akhter inaugurated the workshop as Chief Guest. He emphasizedon the use of text transfomative concept video suitable for use on mobile phone in line with the smart bangladesh policy.
he said in his speech, expressed, “Information technology is an integral part of everyone’s life. In this scenario, we must seize this opportunity, and to achieve that, These short-duration videos are highly compatible for use on smartphones and have a significant impact on student learning.”
Prof. Dr. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi, Pro-VC of Sangam University, Rajasthan, India as chief trainer for this workshop.
As a component of technology support, CEMCA appoints Prof. Dr. Manas Ranjan Panigrahi, Pro-VC of Sangam University, Rajasthan, India serve as a trainer. During the inaugural session, he emphasized, “Engaging learners through technology poses challenges, but we can overcome them through strategic implementation”.
BOU’s Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Admin) Prof. Dr. Nasim Banu, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Academic), Prof. Dr. Mahbuba Nasreen & Treasurer Prof. Mostofa Azad Kamal and Dr. Md. Shafiqul Alam, Registrar of the University were the Guest of Honor.
