Verdict in graft case against Mirza Abbas deferred to Dec 28

The verdict against BNP Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas in a case filed against him for allegedly amassing illegal wealth has been deferred to December 28.

Earlier, Tuesday was scheduled for the pronouncement of the verdict but Judge Manjurul Imam of the Special Judge Court-6 of Dhaka deferred the date as it was not prepared for pronouncement.

Lawyer Mahmud Hossain Jahangir of the Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) confirmed the new date.

Earlier, the same court fixed November 30 to deliver the verdict but later it was deferred to December 12.
