Vitamin ‘A’ plus campaign in Shahzadpur

National vitamin ‘A’ plus campaign information and action planning meeting was held in Shahzadpur upazila of Sirajganj like all over the country.

National Nutrition Service, Public Health Nutrition Institute, Directorate of Health and Ministry of Health and Family Welfare organized the information meeting in the hall room of Shahzadpur Upazila Health Complex on Sunday.

Shahzadpur Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer Dr. Sharmin Alam presided over the meeting. Shahzadpur Upazila Parishad Chairman Bir Muktijoddha Prof. Azad Rahman was present as the chief guest.

Assistant Commissioner (Land) Liaquat Salman, Family Planning Officer Doctor Mohammad Ali, OC Shahzadpur Police Station Khairul Bashar, Upazila Primary Education Officer Abdus Salek, Doctor Rumman Asif and others spoke at the meeting. Upazila Health Family Planning Officer Doctor Sharmin Alam said that on December 12, 42 wards including 13 unions and one municipality
85 thousand 894 children in 331 centers will be fed vitamin ‘A’ plus capsules simultaneously.

Under the direction of Dr. Rumman Asif, the officials of various departments of health, field workers, Ansar-VDP, Muazzin and Imams were present there.
