Athlete Jamila Khatun won two gold medals in Jujutsu Acropolis International Open, in Loutraki, Greece on Friday.
she won one in singles and the other in doubles with Arifur Rahman Sumon. Jamila’s single event was Neoja Fighting 70kg and above.
He won another gold medal with Arif. Jamila is a coach herself.
She participated as a Ansar coach cum player in various international competitions including Greece.
Jamila’s career started in 1990.
Jamila Khatun, from Kabutarkhola village of Munshiganj’s Srinagar upazila, started her journey with judo at the age of 16. Then take yourself to another level by playing different disciplines like karate, wushu, jujutsu and wrestling .
Jamila won 36 gold, 27 silver and 32 bronze medals in her career so far.
In which she won 28 gold, 15 silver and 18 bronze medals by playing for Ansar in karate, judo, wushu and wrestling national events.
