DMP to reshuffle OCs

Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) will reshuffle officers-in-charge (OCs) of all police stations ahead of 12th national election.

All OCs will be transferred to the police stations under DMP.

DMP’s Additional Commissioner (administration) AKM Hafiz Akhter confirmed this to media on Sunday.

The reshuffle will be carried out so that no one can affect the free and fair election, he said.

DMP consists of 50 police stations. It is known that in 33 police stations, OC posts are being reshuffled.

DMP is sending the proposal of transfer to the Election Commission (EC) today for approval.

As per the EC directive, the DMP has made a list for their transfer within the given timeframe, he added.
