519 arson attacks reported in a month

A total of 519 vehicles and important structures were set on fire and vandalized during the hartal and blockade programs enforced by opposition BNP and other like minded parties from October 28 to November 28.
This information was disclosed in a law-and-order report issued by the police headquarters on Friday.
Since October 28, the BNP has enforced hartals for four days and blockades for 16 days.
According to police headquarters, 191 vehicles were vandalized and 299 were set on fire across the country, including the capital.
Besides, 18 structures were vandalized and 11 structures were set on fire.
Total, 519 vehicles and structures were vandalized and set ablaze.
Some 30 vehicles were vandalized and 42 vehicles were set ablaze across the country centring BNP’s grand rally on October 28.
Some 15 important structures were vandalized, and seven were set on fire.
