4 injured in separate cocktails explosion

At least four people were injured when unidentified miscreants exploded cocktails in two separate spots including the capital city on Wednesday.

In Dhaka, two people were injured in a cocktail blast on Bailey Road in city’s Shantinagar area on Tuesday night.

The injured have been identified as Shakil Hossain, 26, and Ashikur Rahman, 30.

Sources said that some miscreants blasted a cocktail in the area around 10:30 pm, leaving the two people injured. Later, they were taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

DMCH police camp in-charge Bachchu Mia confirmed the matter.

Meanwhile, miscreants have exploded a cocktail on Rajshahi Judicial Magistrate Court premises targeting a police van.

The incident took place around 12pm on Wednesday.

A person was injured in the blast incident and he was later got admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital.

Rajpara Police Station’s Officer-in-Charge (OC) Rafiqul Haque confirmed the incident.

He said police are trying to identify those involved in cocktail balst.
