WB-PKSF move to set up eco-friendly mills in Old Dhaka

Replacing obsolete and unhygienic industrial units, environment friendly mills and factories are now being set up in Jinjira, Dholaikhal, and such other places in old Dhaka city to hasten employment generation and make the industrialization process sustainable.

The World Bank (WB) and the Palli Karmo Shohayok Foundation PKSF have undertaken such an initiative with a view to achieving the goal.

As part of the move, new entrepreneurs have been creating with loan supports and training to build eco-friendly small factories in the areas. Model workshop has been built there to support the new and small entrepreneurs.

As a result, huge employments have been created there.

Besides, world class machineries also are being produced in those factories now.
