Jhalokathi ahead in HSC pass rate, Patuakhali at the last

Jhalokathi district tops in terms of district-wise pass rate in HSC 2023 under Barishal Education Board, while Patuakhali district is in the last position. On Sunday around 3:00 pm, the board’s examination controller Arun Kumar Gain announced the results.

He also said that this year the pass rate in Barisal Board is 80.65 percent. Among them, 13 institutions have passed 100%. And 3 thousand 993 candidates got GPA-5.

This year there is no educational institution in Barisal board where no one has passed this year.

The controller of examination also said that Jhalokathi district is in the first position with 85.47 percent pass rate in the six districts of BEB.

Besides Barishal district is second with 84.56 percent, Bhola district is third with 84.54 percent, Pirojpur district is fourth with 79.18 percent, Barguna district is fifth with 78.28 percent and Patuakhali district is lagging behind with 70.74 percent pass rate.

This year in group-wise result, the pass rate of business education department students is highest. But in scoring GPA-5, out of 7,386 GPA-5 students, students of humanities department got the most.

A total of 1 thousand 974 people got GPA-5 in this department. Besides, 1 thousand 621 students from science department and 398 students from business education department got GPA-5.

This time the pass rate of students of business education department is highest followed by science and humanities department.

Meanwhile, students of humanities department got 1 thousand 974 GPA-5 out of 7 thousand 386 GP.
