RP Saha’s birth anniv observed in Mirzapur

A discussion meeting was held on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Shaheed Danbir RP Saha organised the by Ministry of Cultural Affairs in Mirzapur, Tangail. Director of Bangladesh Artists Welfare Trust and Additional Secretary, Ministry of Cultural Affairs, Asim Kumar Dey was the chief guest in the discussion program held at Pratibha Mutsuddi Auditorium of Bharateshari Homes at Kumudini Complex in Mirzapur of Tangail on Saturday.
The special guest was the joint secretary of the same ministry Ataur Rahman. Director of Kumudini Hospital Dr. Pradeep Kumar Roy spoke in the chair, Kumudini Welfare Trust of Bengal (BD) Ltd Managing Director (MD) Rajiv Prasad Saha, Kumudini Women’s Medical College Principal Prof Dr. M. Halim, Principal of Bharateshari Homes Mandira Chaudhary and Principal of Kumudini Nursing Care Sister Reena Magdalene Crews etc.
On this occasion, various programs were organized throughout the day in her home village Mirzapur, her service-oriented organization Kumudini Complex, one of the best schools of women’s awakening Bharateshari Homes, Kumudini Women’s Medical College, Kumudini Nursing School and BSC Nursing College and her business establishments in Dhaka and Naranganj.
In the evening, an interesting display was shown with the participation of the students of Bharateshari Homes. On Saturday, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, on behalf of the Government of Bangladesh, organized a discussion meeting at Pratibha Mutsuddi Auditorium Bharateshwari Homes of Kumudini Complex. Upazila Education officials were present in the institution.
It may be noted that on May 7, 1971, Razakar Al Badr forces and Pakistani forces captured Danbir Ranada Prasad Saha and his only son Bhabani Prasad Saha Ravi. Even today, they have not been found.
