Another injured RMG worker dies

A readymade garment worker, who was injured in a clash between RMG workers and police in Jarun area of Konabari in Gazipur on November 8, died in the early hours of Sunday.

The deceased has been identified as Jamal Uddin, 40, son of one Chand Mia of Kendua upazila in Netrokona. He was a supervisor at Islamia Garments in Gazipur.

Jamal breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 2 am.

Earlier, on November 8, a female worker named Anjuara Khatun was killed and at least 10 others, including Jamal, were injured in the clash.

Md Bachchu Miah, In-charge of DMCH police camp, said the body was kept at the hospital for an autopsy. The concerned police station was informed about the matter.
