Deaths from dengue now 1,432

Seven more deaths were reported from dengue in 24 hours till Wednesday morning as the fatalities from the mosquito-borne disease rising in Bangladesh to 1,432 this year.

During the period, 1,912 more patients were hospitalised with the viral fever, according to the DGHS.

A total of 6,413 dengue patients, including 1,675 in the capital, are now receiving treatment at hospitals across the country.
So far, the DGHS has recorded 2, 85,505 dengue cases and 2, 77,660 recoveries this year.

September has so far been the deadliest month for the dengue outbreak this year with 396 fatalities and 79,598 cases, according to DGHS data.

Dengue has so far claimed at least 1,432 lives this year and nearly 285,505 were infected, making this the deadliest year since the first recorded epidemic in 2000.

According to DGHS data, 6,413 dengue patients were undergoing treatment at different hospitals across the country.

A total of 277,660 patients have so far been released from hospitals across the country this year.
