4- member team of AL leaves for China today

A team from the ruling Awami League will leave Bangladesh on Wednesday for China to attend a conference of South Asian political parties.

“A four-member team of the ruling Awami League is going to join a conference in China. AL received the invitation from Chinese Communist Party to join the conference to be held in November 9-14,” AL’s International Affairs Secretary Shammi Ahmed told journalists on Tuesday.

He said that AL Presidium Member Col. (retd) Faruk Khan will lead the team.

The other members of the team are AL international affairs sub-committee members Khaled Masud Ahmed, Sumon Kundu and Tarun Kanti Das. said though the invitation came from Chinese Communist Party, but it will be important as the tour has been started during a political tension prevails in Bangladesh on the eve of the next national polls.

The diplomats also keep eyes on the matter.
