Younger brother kills elder in Patuakhali

The elder brother was killed by the younger brother over land dispute in Baufalupazila under Patuakhali district. The incident took place on Monday (November 6) afternoon in the Maulvi Bari of Dashpara Union of the upazila.

Baufal Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) ATM Ariful Haque said that the police have been sent to the spot and investigation is underway and legal action is being taken.

According to local sources, there was a dispute between younger brother Rezaul Karim (47) and elder brother Ruhul Amin (52) over land for a long time.

On Monday afternoon, the two brothers clashed at some point during the discussion about the land survey. At that time, the elder brother was seriously injured by the younger brother.
