Rahmatganj defeat Air Force

Rahmatganj Muslim Friends Society (MFS) defeated Bangladesh Air Force Football team by 4-1 goals in their Group-B match of the Independence Cup Football at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj on Friday.

Dhaka Abahani Limited confirmed their quarter-final berth securing six points from two matches.

On the other hand, Rahmatganj MFS and Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited collected four points each playing their respective three and two matches.

Today Dhaka Abahani Limited will take on Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited in their last Group-B match at Sheikh Fazlul Haque Mani Stadium in Gopalganj. The match will kick-off at 2.30pm.

If Dhaka Abahani Limited beat Sheikh Russel Krira Chakara Limited by a big margin in today’s match, Rahmatganj will qualify for the quarter-final.

If Dhaka Abahani Limited draw with Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra will take place in the last eight.

If Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra Limited win over Dhaka Abahani Limited, Sheikh Russel Krira Chakra will emerge the Group-B champions and will enter the quarter-final.

After the interval, Samir Yasir made it 3-1.

Rafiqul of Rahmatganj MFS increased the tally into 4-1 in the injury time of the second half.

Today Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited will face Fortis Football Club Limited in their Group-C match at Bir Shreshtha Shaheed Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Munshiganj.

The match will begin at 2.30pm.

If Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited beat Fortis Football Club Limited, Dhaka Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited will reach the quarter-final and Bangladesh Army Football team will also take place in last eight.

On the other hand, If the match between Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited and Fortis Football Club Limited ended in a draw, all the teams of the Group-C will be same points.

In that case the fate of the quarter-finalists will be decided, according to the better goal difference.
