13 fishermen were detained by Haimchar Upazila Taskforce team while netting Mother Hilsa in the Meghna River ignoring govt ban in Haimchar Upazila on Wednesday. Later, a Mobile Court led by an Executive Magistrate sent them all to jail. The seized nets were burnt to ashes and the hilsa fishes were distributed among the destitute.
