It is also increasing the risk of HIV infection in the country.
The speakers said so at an event held with the technical support of the Save the Children International with support from the Dhaka Ahsania Mission Consortium and Global Fund at the BACE Training Centre in Sonargaon, Narayanganj district.
Director of Health and Nutrition Sector of Save the Children Dr. Lima Rahman was present as the chief guest at the event.
She said that discrimination and rights of people infected with HIV/AIDS should be addressed and ensured.
Promoting health awareness among sex workers plays a leading role in organising sex workers against gender-based violence.
