DB Kishoreganj nabs two drug peddlers

The members of Detective Branch (DB) in Kishoreganj in a drive arrested two alleged drug peddlers along with 73 kilograms of hemp from Bhairabpur area in Bhairab port town of Kishoreganj on Monday.

The arrestees are – Suman (23) son of Jalal Miah and Saddam Hossion (35) son of Golap Miah from Bhairabpur area.

Additional SP (Crime and Ops) in Kishoreganj, Al- Amin Hossein confirmed the matter.

Acting on a tip-off, a team of the DB conducted a raid in Bhairab’s Bhairabpur and challenged a private car.

While searching, the team recovered a total of 73 kilograms of hemp from the car and arrested the duo red handed along with drugs, a press release said.

During primary interrogation, they confessed to their involvement in drug smuggling

Later, a case was filed against them under Narcotics control Act.
