Young girl found dead in Dinajpur

UNB, Dinajpur :

Police recovered the body of a 20-year-old girl from a drain in Dinajpur’s Chirirbandar upazila on Monday morning.

Irin Akter Alo, daughter of Alam Hossain, was a resident of Ranirbandar area of the upazila.

Nur Alam Babu, sub-inspector (SI) of Chirirbandar police station, said they recovered the body of Irin Akter from the drain behind the Oasis School this morning.

Family members said Irin was sleeping in the same room with her mother on Sunday night.

She went outside any time in the night.

When family members called her on mobile phone, they found her phone switched off.

Later, they searched all possible places from 2:30 am but didn’t find her.

In the morning, locals spotted her body lying in a drain in a bamboo bush about 100 yards east of the house.

On information, police recovered the body and sent it to Abdur Rahim Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy.
