New window of yellow malta, orange in Bhola

Although green malta has been cultivated in Bhola district for the last 5-6 years, yellow malta and orange cultivation is for the first time.
Besides, there was a common idea that these fruits do not grow in plains.
But seeing yellow malta and orange trees hanging in bunches commercially has completely changed this perception.
5 km northeast of Borhanuddin Upazila Sadar, along the Raniganj-Borhanganj road of Pakshia Union, three dreamy young entrepreneurs have built a malta and orange garden on 10 acres of land.
Along with Thai guava, grapes, various kinds of vegetables. They are farming cattle farms and cutting the landscape.
Malta and oranges have already been sold. Both fruits are as beautiful to look at as they are sweet and delicious to eat.
The dreamy youth named it ‘Dreamland Agro and Agriculture Farm’ in accordance with their dreams.
Every day people from distant areas come to visit this aesthetically beautiful farm, takes pictures while going; captures videos and spreads them through social media. Some unemployed youths are also taking advice on gardening.
The entire firm is managed by Khalilur Rahman from Chuadanga District.
He has received advanced training on fruit cultivation in India and Vietnam.
Khalilur Rahman said, Bari-1, Bari-2, Egyptian Yellow King and Mandelina varieties of Malta have been cultivated in this garden initially.
Apart from this, 2 acres of Bhutani, China Three and South African varieties of oranges have been cultivated. Malta is being sold at Tk 200 per kg. Malta will be sold for 4 and a half lakh taka in total.
Besides, since it is the first orange, most of the fruits have been plucked after coming to increase the strength of the tree. 1 lakh will be sold in what is there. In the next season, this production will exceed 5 lakh taka.
Other fruits include two and a half thousand Thai guavas, a vineyard. Besides, they are also producing advanced species of seedlings.
Anyone can buy from the firm at low cost. Thai guavas are sold all year round.
He also said that the soil of Bhola is better than other districts.
Especially such soil is very suitable for fruit cultivation. If the supervision is right, it is possible to deal with insect and spider attack, fungal attack easily.
Regarding the possibility of loss, he said that it is important to have the right variety of fruit.
