Walton-DRU Media Football Tournament begins today

The Walton-DRU Media Football Tournament will begin at the Shaheed Captain M Mansur Ali National Handball Stadium today.

Marking the upcoming football competition for the journalists, a press conference was held at the Nasrul Hamid Auditorium in Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) on Tuesday.

President of Dhaka Reporters Unity Mursalin Nomani, General Secretary of DRU Mynul Hasan Sohel, Senior Executive Director of Walton Group FM Iqbal Bin Anwar Dawn, Welfare Secretary of DRU Tanvir Ahmed, Sports Secretary of DRU Mahbubur Rahman, were present at the conference, among others.

A total of 49 media houses including online portals and television channels will take part in the mega football competition, which will be held on knock-out basis.

The champions will be awarded Taka thirty thousand with a trophy, while the runners-up will get Taka twenty thousand with a trophy.

Besides the participating teams and players will get a handsome cash money.
