PM most worried over US visa policy: BNP

Staff Reporter :
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir on Saturday said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina herself is mostly panicked over the US announced visa policy.

“The businessmen blessed by this Awami League government are panicked over the US visa policy.

But PM Hasina is the most panicked one.

The AL leaders have become extremely worried over how to keep their plundering wealth safe,” Mirza Fakhrul said while addressing an event at the Institution of Engineering, Bangladesh’s auditorium in the capital.

Responding to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s latest statement that no country had asked for a caretaker government in Bangladesh, Fakhrul said the matter didn’t need to be directly addressed.

“The fear is evident on Hasina’s face…they are now worried about protecting the money they looted,” he said.

Mirza Fakhrul said, “Why does it need to be said? Can’t you understand what is being said through everyone’s position? A fair election cannot be held under the AL government.”

The BNP Secretary General asked the government to quit soon saying there was no benefit of roaming elsewhere. “Resign soon or the people of the country will pull you down from the power,” he said.

Mirza Fakhrul has launched another scathing attack on the ruling Awami League government, saying it had paralysed the education sector through its various misdeeds.

“The education sector is in the worst condition.

The government must be changed to save the education sector,” the BNP leader said.

“No teacher is appointed without money and political connections,” he said.

Mirza Fakhrul criticised the education minister, saying, “The minister’s followers are looting crores of Taka through corruption in various educational institutions.

Even people at the ministerial level are embezzling crores of Taka.

” The BNP leader said the government had taken away all human rights and created a bubble in the economy.

“It is time to remove this government to protect this country. They must be held accountable,” he said.

Responding to the PM’s statements on Khaleda Zia, he said, “Can the language of a prime minister be so bad? In fact, there is no etiquette in the party. They do not know how to respect anyone.”

Principal Selim Bhuiyan, President of Shikkhok Kormochari Oikkya Jote presided over the event while BNP senior leaders Dr. Abdul Moin Khan, Dr. AZM Zahid Hossain and others spoke.
