Bhangura-Naogaon-Dhaka road causes public sufferings
Bhangura (Pabna) Correspondent :
The non-carpeting of the Bhangura-Naogaon-Dhaka link Road has increased public suffering.
The construction of this 18 km long road promised by the Prime Minister was completed in 2018 under the supervision of the local Government Department. Due to the construction of this road from Bhangura Upazila Sadar to Chalanbil Highway, the distance between Bhangura and the capital has been reduced, as well as the communication system of Chalan beel residents has been greatly improved.
Bridges on this road were built in time but the top of the road was herringbone with bricks.
Many small and large potholes have been created due to the destruction of herringbone at various places on the road.
When it rains, water accumulates there.
Moreover, vehicular traffic is severely disrupted due to non-carpeting for a long time.
Civil Population is also suffering. The residents have demanded that the road be carpeted as soon as possible.
Upazila Engineer Afroja Khatun said that the herringbone on the road has been damaged due to traffic plying for a few years.
Apart from this, carpeting could not be done due to the fear of soil landslip in Chalanbil.
However, recently the project has been sent to LGED Bhabon for paving the road.
She hopes that the work will be done next year.
