Body of missing driver recovered

The body of a missing auto rickshaw driver recovered from a canal at Rangtia village in Jhenaigati upazila of Sherpur on Monday.

The deceased auto rickshaw driver was identified as Arab Ali (21) son of late Abdus Salam at Bangaon of Gauripur union in Jhenaigati upazila .

Police and the victim’s family members said that after passing HSC, Arab Ali bought a a battery-powered auto rickshaw to earn his living .

On September 30 , Saturday at about 8 pm, Arab Ali left home with his auto rickshaw.

After that he did not return home. Searching for him in various places, his family filed a general diary at Jhenaigati thana.

On Monday morning , a local farmer of Rangtia went to the bank of the canal to cut grass and saw the dead body and informed the police.

Police and Arab Ali’s family members went to the spot and recovered and identified the dead body.

At that time, the body was seen with injury marks in different parts and the stomach was coming out due to injury.
