Man dies as train runs over him in capital’s Moghbazar

A 58-year-old man died when a moving train ran him over while he was crossing the rail tracks at Moghbazar Wireless Railgate area in Dhaka.

The incident happened around 7:45 am on Friday when the man was taking a walk.

The deceased was identified as MD Abdul Latif. He was an electrician by profession.

SI Harun Ur Rashid of Kamalapur Police Station, confirmed the matter.

Quoting the man’s son Arifur Rahman, the SI said, he went for a walk in his neighborhood.

His body was recovered around 10:30 am and handed over to his family later, he said.
