Two cops escape court forging judge’s signature

Staff Reporter :
Two members of police including Sub-Inspector (SI) Fuad Uddin and Constable Abu Musa have forged the signature of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sheikh Sadi to sign the warrant return papers.

Fuad Uddin is the in-charge of the court’s motor vehicle branch and Abu Musa is as General Register Officer (GRO).

According to court sources, the traffic police fined the drivers of two vehicles-(Dhaka Metro Law 2 55 8220 and Dhaka Metro Law 34 0918)- for not having licenses.

Accordingly, two separate non-FIR cases were sent to the court against them for non-payment of fines.

The court then issued an arrest warrant against the two drivers.

Later, SI Fuad Uddin and Constable Abu Musa forged the judge’s signature on the warrant return paper.

The policemen escaped the scene when the forgery was detected.

CMM Court-10 bench assistant Imran Hossain filed a case against these two policemen with the capital’s Kotwali police station on Monday.

At the same time, the prosecution department of the court has written to the commissioner to take departmental action against them.
