BAPA FoodPro Int’l Expo begins tomorrow

The BAPA Foodpro International Expo 2023 is set to commence on Thursday (Sept 26), a collaborative effort between the Bangladesh Agro Processors Association (BAPA) and Rainbow Exhibition & Event Management Services (REEMS).

The three-day event will be held at International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka.

Minister of Industries Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun will preside over the opening ceremony, as announced during a press conference held at the Economic Reporters’ Forum in the city on Tuesday.

The doors will be open to visitors from 10:00 am to 7:00 pm every day during the event.

Aside from captivating exhibitions, the expo will feature technical sessions with insights from local and international experts.

Over 200 companies from more than 20 countries will showcase their diverse products and services at the expo.

The participating country list includes India, Thailand, South Korea, Taiwan, China, Germany, Singapore, Japan, Netherlands, Turkey, UK, USA, Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Canada, France, Denmark, Poland, and Sri Lanka.

Additionally, two complementary fairs, the ’11th Agro Bangladesh Expo 2020′ and ‘Indian Expo 2020’ will run alongside the BAPA Foodpro International Expo. BAPA has been organising these fairs since 2015.

Ahsan Khan Chowdhury, chairperson of the Fair Committee and CEO of PRAN-RFL Group, emphasised the vital role of Bangladesh’s agro-processing sector in ensuring food security and contributing to foreign currency reserves through exports, thus boosting the nation’s economy.
