Prof. Quamruzzaman elected Chairman of A-PAD for next 3-yr

The Asia Pacific Alliance for Disaster Management (A-PAD) is a trans-national disaster aid alliance that works to facilitate cooperation and understanding between governments, private companies and NGOs in the Asia Pacific region.

Community Initiative Society (CIS), known as A-PAD Bangladesh is an important member of A-PAD platform.

Prof. Quazi Quamruzzaman, Chairman of DCHT & CIS was elected as Chairman of A-PAD in 2021 for the first time.

He had taken the great responsibilities, maintained the coordination among A-PAD countries and provided outstanding support on Disaster Risk Management for last two years.

Prof Quazi has been elected as Chairman again of A-PAD for next 3 years for his outstanding contribution of DRM in A-PAD Annual Assembly in Colombo, Sri Lanka on 5 September 2023.

Prof. Quazi Quamruzzaman has expressed gratitude and given thanks to A-PAD Board members.

He has also promised to continue the support at the same way to reduce DRR.
