Three children killed in Mohakhali train accident

Three street children died after being hit by a train in Mohakhali area of the capital on Saturday evening.

The identities of the victims could not be known instantly, said Dhaka Airport Police Station Sub-inspector Sunil Chandra Sutradhar.

According to the police, the victims were going to the Sainik Club area from Mohakhali when the Jamalpur-bound Dewanganj Express train from Kamalapur Railway Station ran over them at 6pm.

On information, railway police rushed to the spot and recovered their bodies.

The bodies have been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for autopsy, the SI added.
