Mushfiq not to play in ‘Super Four’ match against India

Ace wicketkeeper-batter Mushfiqur Rahim will not play in their last ‘Super Four’ match of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) Asia Cup against India at Ranasinghe Premadasa Stadium in Colombo, the capital city of Sri Lanka tomorrow.

So, Bangladesh Cricket team will not get service of Mushfiqur Rahim in their last ‘Super Four’ match.

Mushfiqur Rahim returned to Dhaka on Sunday last to stay with his pregnant wife at a city hospital. Mushfiqur Rahim became father of a baby girl on Monday.

It is his second child. Earlier, Mushfiqur Rahim became a father of baby boy in the month of February of 2018.

Mushfiqur Rahim was scheduled to go again to Sri Lanka on February 14.

But later, Mushfiqur Rahim changed his decision and the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) gave permission to stay in Dhaka.

Chairman of the Cricket Operations Committee of the BCB Jalal Yunus said, ” Mushfiqur Rahim acknowledged him his wife and his baby girl are now in observation of the physician.

So, Mushfiqur Rahim wants to stay with his wife during this time. We give him recess.”
