Python caught at Goainghat

Sylhet District Police rescued a huge python snake and returned to the safe haven of nature on Sunday,
A seven-foot-long python snake was caught on the bank of Muhammad Ali’s son Ismail Ali’s pond in Birmangal Haor Matikapa village of No. 1 Rustampur Union under Goainghat police station.

On receiving the news, Sylhet District Superintendent of Police Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun immediately reached the Goainghat police station and took the python into their custody.

Later, the forest department authorities were informed so that the rescued python can get safe shelter in nature.

On behalf of the Forest Department, Md. Abdul Malek accepted the python.

In this regard, Goainghat Companyganj Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) Sahidur Rahman said, Sylhet district Goainghat police station under the direction of Superintendent of Police Mohammad Abdullah Al Mamun rescued the snake and handed it over to the forest department authorities.

The forest department authorities informed us that the python will be released in the Sylhet Khadimnagar National Park.
