Biden’s selfie with PM causes BNP leaders’ sleep disorder: Quader

Staff Reporter :
Ruling Awami League (AL) General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Sunday said the BNP leaders could not sleep after seeing US President Joe Biden taking a selfie with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in India on the sidelines of the G-20 Summit.

“The BNP was watching eagerly to the America (USA) in the last 15 years to help the party assume power.

Now the BNP’s jumping has stopped. Their faces and eyes dried up after seeing the selfie.

Their sleep get disappeared. Who will impose sanctions now? The AL is not afraid of sanctions,” Obaidul Quader told at a programme.

Awami Jubo League organised the event at the Institution of Engineers, Bangladesh (IEB) to launch its countrywide campaign to collect new members and renew of membership of the organisation.

The AL leader said also that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is going to hold the next elections as per the national constitution.

Obaidul Quader, also the road transport and bridges minister, said the BNP is taking preparations secretly for the next elections to carryout its nomination business.

“One of the leader of the BNP is doing nomination business sitting on the bank of the Thames River. Preparations are being made for elections. And the AL never goes for conspiracy.

People’s love is only capital of our party,” Obaidul Quader said.

The bridges minister said BNP is hoping that a civil society government, like the 1/11 one, would come but it is clear that such a thing would not happen anymore.

Chaired by Jubo League Chairman Sheikh Fazle Shams Parash, the function was addressed, among others, by Jubo League General Secretary Mainul Hossain Khan Nikhil and central leaders of the organisation.
