Motivated Bangladesh U-16 national football take on their Indian counterpart in the grand final of SAFF U-16 Championship scheduled to be held today in Changlimithang Stadium in Thimphu, Bhutan.
The match will kick-off at 6 pm (BST).
Bangladesh Captain Nazmul Huda Faisal, however, sees their first match defeat against India quite positively because that defeat motivated the players more to play good football.
“We lost the first match against India… This defeat motivated the players to play more good football … Our target will be not to repeat those mistakes in the last match against India in the final match,” said the Bangladesh captain.
He informed that the team is now in good shape at the moment after the victory against Pakistan in the semifinal and boys are upbeat to take the trophy in home beating Indian in the final.
Bangladesh, earlier, beat Pakistan by 2-1 goals in the second semifinal to confirmed their ticket of final match.
India also confirmed their spot of final thrashing Maldives by 8-0 goals in the first semifinal.
Earlier, Bangladesh made a losing start as they suffered a solitary goal defeat to defending champions India but bounced back to earn a lone goal victory over Nepal in their second match to finish group A runners-up.
While Pakistan beat Bhutan by 2-1 goals in their group opening match and defeated Maldives by 3-0 goals in their second group match to emerge group B top.
