3 killed in pickup-CNG collision in Habiganj

Three people, including a woman, were killed in a head-on collision between a van and a CNG auto-rickshaw at Chunarughat in Habiganj. Three others were injured in the incident.

The accident happened in the Chanbhanga area of Chunarughat-Shaestaganj road around 9:30 p.m. on Thursday.

The deceased are CNG driver Jasim Mia of Rajapur village of Deorgach union of that upazila, Rumel Ahmed, son of Abdus Chatter of Baro Ladia village of Mirashi union, Najma Akhter, wife of Abdur Rahim of Kalishiri village.

Chunarughat Police Station OC Md. Rashedul Haque said that two people died on the spot in a collision between a pickup and an auto-rickshaw in the Chanbhanga area of Chunarughat-Shaestaganj road.

When the injured were rescued and taken to the Upazila Health Complex, another person died there.
