JS body discusses BD Economic Zone (Amendment) Bill

Parliamentary Standing Committee on Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs at its 33rd meeting held on the seventh instant discussed in detail the Bangladesh Economic Zone (Amendment) Bill, 2023, and recommended to float the bill in ongoing session of the parliament after giving report.

Chaired by committee president Md Shahiduzzaman Sarker, the meeting was attended by its members Law Minister Anisul Huq, Mostafizur Rahman, Md Abdul Mazid Khan, Shamim Haider Patwari, Gloria Jharna Sarker and Khodeza Nasrin Akter Hossain.

The committee at the start of the meeting, recalled with great respect the memories of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, martyrs of August 15, 1975, four national leaders and all the martyrs of War of Liberation, reports BSS.

The committee also discussed The Jatiya Sangsad (Reserved Women’s Seat) Election (Amendment) Bill 2023, and a report was given after further modification.
